Monbiot tells it straight

Calling all prospective parents of boarders, politicians, and educators: please listen to George.

Are we sitting comfortably?

  1. For once Monbiot talks some sense. I really couldn’t see why I was the only person who thought the whole system was dehumanising.

Still look at the number of “matrons” Caterham School has and do the maths. This mini industry must be making a lot of people wealthy.

Even if Monbiot lays it on a bit thick there must be some psycological effects from living in a different social dynamic to everyone else? I mean that’s just common sense…?

  2. You’re not the only one – check out how much has been said and done in the past 25 years, Anthony. And Monbiot has been extremely consistent on this one, as he has, I think you’ll find, on many other topics.

Time to come in from the cold? Next steps? Perhaps do some reading, dare to do a workshop and join Boarding School Action campaign?
